In Farringtons class we were asked to get into teams of three and create a photograph inspired by a film from a list provided. As a group we decided to go with the film rear window. We decided to use this film as inspiration as the film was based on a character who spied on his neighbours. I feel that we really captured this in our photograph. We decided that to get the most successful photograph possible we would have to do exactly that we would have to photograph people unaware. To get more of a dramatic effect we used a padlock keyhole almost as a censor we waited patiently and after a few attempts this gentleman walked by.

These are a couple of examples of David Lachapelles work. When it comes down to a photography style I think his work is definitely more editorial than anything else.

In todays lecture we spent the first 15 mins or so going over our thoughts on the course so far. After this we spent the rest of the lecture critiquing as a group everyones first weekly project brief time. This was a really interesting enjoyable lesson as everyones photographs were very different even though we were all given the same brief. The next weekly project brief is english breakfast ?????????????????? My plan of action is to do maybe create another mind map as that really helped me last time and then do some research to try to find some unusual unique art to inspire me.

Today Suggitt decided to spend a little bit of time looking over our history of art files with us in groups. She has given me some really good feedback positive and negative too help me improve my file. To help us to get a better understanding of why we have to study the history of art she showed us a few examples of how different aspects within art relate to one another. This was really interesting and has definitely inspired me to look at any type of art as inspiration for my own work.To help inspire us Suggitt was showing us a range of artists and there work.Whilst doing this she showed us a selection of work called Jesus is my homeboy by David Lachapelle. I really liked his style automatically. After researching more of his work i discovered his more fashion based photography i find his style to be very unique and fresh delivering something that i haven't seen before.
